Studying

For those who did not know yet: I am back to studying. Yes, really! I am subscribed to University Geneva and doing another Master course. Can you imagine? Two Master’s degrees; me? I cannot. Well, for those who are interested: I never officially studied toxicology, and in order to progress a bit in my professional career, it was offered by my company to do this course. Super nice, and also a super lot of work (duduuum). Despite full time employment, I spent my evenings and weekends studying now the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and -dynamics on top of specialized fields in pharmacology and toxicology. The good thing is, it will be hopefully over in two years.

With Corona and the hygiene measures implied, my courses got shifted two times already towards later the year. I understand this year is crazy and understand all the measures. Still, I really hope all the courses will take place. Postponing it more or studying more will be really a downer. But I guess there is nothing to help it. So let’s just see how it goes.

During my recent studies, I was accompanied by my cute little Azi. As she cannot leave me alone and always has to be around me, she decided to help me studying extra time with her presence – ON top of my transcripts. Well, it would have been too easy, if she would just sit on my lap or chair or bed. It was obviously way more comfy to sleep directly on the table, blocking my keyboard and the notebook. Unnecessary to tell the end of the tale, she got all the hugs and petting she requested. Have a great evening everyone and pet your cat! 😄

Diejenigen die es noch nicht wussten: Ich studiere wieder! Ja, wirklich! Ich bin an der Universität Genf eingeschrieben für den Masterkurs in Toxikologie. Glaubt man’s? Ich, ein zweiter Masterabschluss? Verrückt. Da ich nie offiziell “Toxikologie” studiert habe (aber als Toxikologin arbeite), hat mir meine Firma diesen Kurs gesponsert, um meiner Karriere auf die nächste Stufe zu hieven. Super gut, aber auch super viel zu lernen. Neben der Vollzeit stelle, verbringe ich ab jetzt meine Abende und Wochenende mit Studieren. Hoffentlich ist es in zwei Jahren wieder vorbei.

Aufgrund Coronas und der Hygienemaßnahmen, wurden jetzt bereits einige Kurse verschoben. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass der Rest der Kurse doch noch stattfinden wird wie geplant, und die Coronafälle wieder abnehmen werden zum Jahresende. Momentan kann man ja sowieso nichts daran ändern. Also sehen wir mal wie es wird.

Während meiner letzten Lernsession, wollte mir Azi ein bisschen helfen mit ihrer Anwesenheit AUF meinen Lernunterlagen. Wo auch sonst? Es wäre zu einfach gewesen sich auf meinen Schoß zu setzen, oder auf das Bett oder auf den Stuhl zu legen. Nein, sie musste direkt auf den Tisch! Und hat so natürlich ihre Flausch- und Streicheleinheiten abgestaubt, ganz so wie sie wollte. Habt einen guten Abend und knuddelt eure Katze ein wenig! 😄
